Friends of Dandridge Memorial Library operates as a non-profit under Dandridge Municipal Library, Inc. 501(c)(3). Friends is a service-oriented, philanthropic group dedicated to the advancement of the Community through the Library and to enhancing the experiences our Library offers to the public.

Foundation

Dandridge Municipal Library, Inc. formed as a 501c3 in 1984 to support the construction of the first purpose-built public library building in Dandridge, Tennessee. It continues to provide supplemental funding and to oversee the remaining building funds, and is now providing 501c3 status for the Friends of Dandridge Memorial Library as well as overseeing the 2026 Building Project.
